Strengths: Fast, Long battery life. Good Screen. Memory card upgrade slot.
Weakness: Not easy to get out of cradle. Power button can't be locked. No GSM but hee only the handspring cleo has that now.
Good product, No color but sharp screen. All you want out of a PDA. Gread for daily use. Good software package with it. Would be a good idea of palm to put a hard case with the package. Now you have to buy it seperately and it really cost to much for what it's worth.
For the price the M500 can't be beat. I bought mine new 7 months ago for $137 and the price has dropped since then. The size is small-can easily be put in a shirt pocket with the flip cover attached. The M500 is extremely durable--I've never had to reset it in...
Strengths: Excellent, rechargable battery.
Can download calendar, documents, photos.
Weakness: Difficult viewing of display. Tough "shorthand" in order to write with stylus.

In addition, when you are able to see what is on the display, you have to...
I liked everything about this palm, especially the price (got it for 149.00), but in order to see the screen well you have to continually change the contrast. No fun. I wouldn't buy it, in fact I am exchanging it today for an m515. I give it 2 stars, if that.
