The HP OfficeJet G Series units are HP's premium performance color flatbed all-in-ones for document handling, creation and management. The OfficeJet G85 integrates a high-speed printer, fax, flatbed scanner and color copier into one unit to save you time, money and aggravation. An automatic document feeder holds up to 30 letter- or 15 legal-sized pages. Because all four functions are designed to work together, you'll spend less time running cables and learning the vagaries of the new office contraption and spend more time using it productively. Multi-tasking enables the G85 to print while scanning or queuing up more print or copy jobs.The printer delivers photo-realistic image quality using HP PhotoREt III. 2400 x 1200 dpi color on photo paper and 600dpi black text give any document a crisp and professional look. The paper tray can handle up to 150 sheets of 16-24lb. paper, 22 envelopes, 45 sheets of card stock or 30 transparencies, and you can use a variety of other papers up to 8.5" x 14" as well. The TWAIN-compliant scanner reads at up to 600 x 3600 dpi optical with interpolation up to 9600 dpi. 36-bit color captures millions of colors and 8-bit grayscale captures 256 levels of gray. Integrated OCR software turns document images into editable text so you can virtually eliminate retyping tasks. A convenient "Scan To" button automatically places scans into software applications that you select for editing, touching up or e-mailing.
